How Oracles Work &
There are two aspects to reading an ordinary oracle--the outer and the inner, the exoteric and the esoteric. Most oracles use a defined set of symbols like runes or cards. Each symbol has both an archetypal definition--an energy/direction/force--and an everyday definition regarding the practical aspects of daily life. Each symbol is rich in meanings, and the main task of the reader is to sort out which specific interpretations apply in each individual case. This is where the esoteric skills of the reader come in. There is an inner knowing that guides us to choose the correct interpretation of the oracle. There are many theories about how this works, but at present, no one can actually prove that their knacky notion is correct. Somehow, deep inside ourselves, we simply do know. The skill of accurately reading an oracle lies in learning, through meditation and other practices, to access that inner intuition with clarity. All oracles, including the Faeries' Oracle, can be used this way, but the Faeries' Oracle offers us so much more. It guides us through the twists and turns of the realm of Faery, where we can connect heart to heart and mind to mind with the leprechaun hidden under the roots of the tree, the highest-flying sylph, and the many other Faery folk between. The book that comes with Faeries' Oracle cards guides us in becoming friends with the faeries and helps us talk with them, learn from them and play with them. The reader can use the cards as a magic mirror through which he may discover the wisdom and knowledge of the faeries themselves--an uncanny and yet down-to-earth wisdom and knowledge that is worth its weight in Faery kisses, which bring the very best of good fortune.
In addition to the knowledge of what is, we'll also discover Faery wisdom--a compassionate insight into ourselves and the world. The faeries will aid us in developing the inner peace that comes with greater wisdom and insight. And, as if this were not enough, we shall also discover the simple joys of being more connected with Faery, with the natural world, and with our own natural magic, bringing Faery blessings showering into our lives.
